More macro goodness. I am amazed with this lens. This relatively cheap (non-L) Canon 100mm macro lens is sharp as a tack.
The Iris in my front yard has seen a lot of attention from this lens.
I can’t seem to pass it and not stop.

More Macro goodness. This 100mm lens is a lot of fun. Very challenging when hand held. The DoF is very small and even a little waver in the subject will produce blurry results.
I am learning a lot about patience, especially on breezy days.
I think I also will need a quicker tripod.

See the results of my new toy. I found a nicely priced 100mm Macro lens on kijiji yesterday. I have been saving up for one for a while now and jumped on it.
This is one of my first shots with it. It has a crazy shallow Depth of field. This needs to get used to, but I am really looking forward to the detail it will give.
Fast to focus and sharp as a tack. I think it will be worth the added wieght in my camera bag.
Further postings will follow as a learn the ins and outs of this lens.
